About Michael
Michael Whiting
Principal
Michael is a quantum and claims consultant with over 12 years’ experience in construction and engineering disputes across the United Kingdom, the Middle East and North Africa. His work covers quantum, commercial and contractual matters, on live projects and in arbitration, adjudication, court proceedings and negotiated settlement.
He supports appointed experts and advises employers, contractors and subcontractors on prolongation, disruption and productivity, loss and expense, variations, final accounts, payment disputes and commercial recovery.
He began his career at sixteen as an apprentice quantity surveyor with Balfour Beatty in London. His experience spans procurement and live project delivery through to dispute resolution on energy, industrial, infrastructure and construction projects, under JCT, NEC, FIDIC, PFI and bespoke contracts.
